April 5, The Jackals finished out the regular season on a high note by defeating the Wheeling Nailers 6-1 in front of a sellout crowd at First Arena.

April 2, Tonight the Jackals clinched second place overall in the division to secure home ice advantage in the first round despite loosing 3-2 to the Trenton Devils.

March 26, It was a tough loss tonight as the Jackals let a 3-1 third period lead slip away against the Trenton Devils. The Devils won on First Arena Ice for the first time this season. The good news for Elmira is the fact that Reading also lost their game tonight to Cincinnati so the Jackals maintain the 3 point lead over the Royals.

March 22, Tonight the Jackals came back from a one goal deficit to take a hard fought 2-1 win on home ice and maintain their 3 point lead over Reading who also won.

March 21, It took all season but a opposing goalie has finally shut out the Jackals in a game. Rookie Reading goalie John Murray making his first professional start made 38 saves for the shutout win. Reading now trails Elmira by 3 points in the battle for second place in the division and home ice advantage in the first round.

March 20, Tonight the Jackals continued the current winning streak with a 5-3 victory over the Dayton Bombers at First Arena.

March 17, The Jackals took to the green ice again tonight and beat the Wheeling Nailers 5-2 at First Arena.

March 15, The Jackals beat the Johnstown Chiefs 3-0 to maintain second place in the division. Monday they look to extend the current winning streak to 3 games against Wheeling.

February 14, The Texas Wildcatters made their only trip into First Arena tonight and came away with a 6-3 victory to extend the Jackals losing streak to a season record 3 games.

February 9, The Royals Reign Supreme while defeating the Jackals 7-1 in Reading.
February 8, The Jackals got thumped by the Johnstown Chiefs 9-3. Let's hope the team puts this one behind them as they head to Reading tonight.

February 2, The Jackals scored early and often in this game and hung on to defeat the Royals 5-2 in what was one of the most physical games of the season. Below are some shots of the action with many more to come. Update: This game gallery has been uploaded.

January 30, Frank Littlejohn scored two goals and Bobby Robbins scored the game winner as the Jackals defeated the Johnstown Chiefs 3-1 at First Arena.

January 19 Tonight the Jackals poured it on again as they defeated the Wheeling Nailers 7-1 to take over sole possession of first place in the division.

January 18, The Jackals Hammered the Nailers 8-1 at First Arena. Jackals players who won the UHL Championship last season with Rockford were presented with their Championship rings before the game. This games photos have been uploaded

January 12, It was not easy and they had to come from behind but the Jackals defeated the high scoring Cyclones 4-3 on a Chaz Johnson hat trick and a game winning wrap around goal from Bobby Robbins. The Jackals now share the division lead with Cincinnati at 53 points. More photos to come.

January 11, The Jackals lost to the Johnstown Chiefs on home ice by a score of 4-3. The Jackals wore special jerseys honoring local Fire and Police Departments. They will wear the Guns and Hoses Jerseys again tonight against Cincinnati and they will be auctioned off following the game.

January 5, The Jackals lost to the Bombers 3-1 in Dayton but at First Arena the Alumni Jackals beat the Alumni Buffalo Sabers in a game played for charity. Does this shot of Shawn Legault bring back memories? Click to view first batch of photos from this game. Click here for page two.
December 29, The Jackals fell to the Cincinnati Cyclones 5-1 on home ice in front of a sellout crowd. The highlight for Jackals fans was a goalie fight between Joel Martin and Cedrick Desjardins. Okay, I have completed uploading all the goalie fight photos. Click here to view them.
December 26, The Jackals let a 3-0 lead over the Royals slip away as Reading fought back to send the game into overtime where they won the game 4-3. With the awarded point, the Jackals took over sole possession of first place. The Jackals have at least one point in every game played thus far in the month of December.
December 22, The Jackals continued their winning ways with a 4-2 road victory over the Wheeling Nailers.
December 21, Tonight the Jackals prevailed over Wheeling 3-1 despite going 1 for 10 on the power play including 5 separate 5-3 chances. New Jackal Dan Kronick scored the game winner an a nice feed from Doucet who also scored the Jackals first goal of the game. The teams face off again tonight in Wheeling.
December 15, The Jackals prevailed over the Trenton Devils despite a hat trick by Trevor Kell of the Devils. Bruce Watson scored the game winner in the third period at 6:13 and the Jackals held on for the 4-3 win.

December 14, Things did not look to good for the Jackals tonight going into the third period and down to the Royals 4-1. But the Jackals mounted a comeback with 4 unanswered goals including the game winner by Scott May in overtime. If you missed this game, shame on you!

December 9, This afternoon the Jackals beat the Nailers 5-1 to regain sole possession of first place in the division. The Jackals next game is Friday at home against a surging Reading Royals club.
December 8, The Jackals came out in the first on fire and took a 2-0 lead into the second frame but they got into penalty trouble and gave up 4 unanswered goals to fall behind 4-2 after two. But the Jackals did not give up and their hard work in the third paid off as they battled back to tie the score at 4 all and force overtime. Neither team could net the winner in OT so the game went to the shootout where the Jackals prevailed 5-4 to regain a share of the division lead with the Cyclones.
December 7, The Jackals lost to Cincinnati 2-1 in a shootout and fall 1 point out of first place behind the Cyclones. They can regain the division lead with a win tonight in regulation as the two teams wrap up this two game series.

The Jackals have extended their current winning streak to 7 games and enjoy a 6 point advantage heading into tonight's contest with Cincinnati. The Jackals lost to the Cyclones 7-1 but that fact pales when compared to the terrifying bus crash the team suffered on the way home from the game.

September 27, 2007 Today the Elmira Jackals announced that single game tickets for the 07-08 season will go on sale to the general public on Monday October 1st at 10:00AM. Don't forget that the home opener on the 19th of October will be another Block Party leading up to the game. You don't want to miss this game as Wheeling comes to town for their first ever visit!
September 25, 2007 Today the Jackals added a pair of defensemen to the roster. Chad Grisdale 6'3" 215 lbs, and Erick Tremblay 6'4" 210 lbs, have been added to the lineup. Read all about it here.
