10/08/07 Jackals make first roster moves today adding two players and cutting four. Added to the team were Bobby Robins and Martin Sagat. Released today were Andrew Becker, Chris Ferazzoli (both of whom were invited to camp from the Pro Placement Camp) along with Stain Hoygard and Joe Guenther. Click for more details.

10/03/07 Today the Springfield Falcons of the AHL have reassigned Justin Chwedoruk to the Elmira Jackals. Click Also, Bobby Robins has been offered a two way contract between the Binghamton Senators and Elmira. Click
10/02/07 Today the Jackals added four more players to the roster as training camp nears. Defenseman Chad Brownlee and Luke Fritshaw along with left wing Mike McLean and goaltender Robert Gherson have been signed to contracts for the upcoming season. Click here.

09/20/07 Today the Elmira Jackals announced the addition of three more players to the 07-08 roster. Right wingers Pierre-Luc Faubert and Ryan MacMurchy and defenseman Joe Grimaldi have been added to the lineup. Click here
09/18/07 The Elmira Jackals 07-08 roster grew by 4 players today as it was announced that the team has signed forwards Benoit Doucet, Patrick Bordeleau, and Dan Veenema along with defenseman Chris Busby. Click here
09/14/ 07 The Elmira Jackals opened their second annual Pro Placement Camp today at First Arena. Over 50 players tried out for the team over the three day camp. 09/12/07 The Elmira Jackals announced today that Grady Whittenburg has been named the Vice President of Communications & Director of Broadcasting for the club’s inaugural ECHL campaign. This is fantastic news for Jackals Hockey Fans as Grady is one of the best Hockey Broadcasters I have ever had the privilege of listening to. Jackals fans are going to fall in love with his enthusiasm and broadcasting style. Welcome to Elmira Grady!
08/22/07 The Elmira Jackals announced today their 2007-2008 ECHL preseason schedule. It includes four preseason games and a golf tournament spanning five days. The Jackals will host the Reading Royals on October 11th. On October 12th and 13th, the Jackals will host the Trenton Devils. Sunday the 14th is the Jackals golf tournament and Monday, October 15th Elmira will play the Reading Royals in Wyomissing, PA. Read More here.
08/22/07 The Elmira Jackals announced today that they are holding their 2nd Annual Jackals Golf Tournament on October 14th at Mark Twain Golf Course. As the Jackals prepare for the 2007-08 ECHL season, fans will have a unique opportunity to meet the entire roster for the first time. Sunday October 14th at Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira will be the first full-team function of the season, taking place just five days before the season opener on October 19th at First Arena. 08/16/07 The Elmira Jackals announced today that Director of Broadcasting and Public Relations Owen Newkirk is leaving the team to accept a job with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. Thank you Owen for all you have done for the team and the fans of Elmira. You will be missed around here for sure. Best wishes as you take the next step in your career as a professional broadcaster. Albany is getting a great play by play broadcaster and an even better man!
08/15/07 The Jackals announced the team has made their first trade as a member of the ECHL. The Jackals have acquired goaltender Joel Martin from the Trenton Devils in exchange for future considerations and financial considerations. The Jackals are also excited to announce that Martin has agreed to terms with Elmira for the 2007-08 season, becoming the seventh player introduced for the Jackals inaugural ECHL season.
08/14/07 The Elmira Jackals announced today that they will host a Booster Club Meeting to help encourage new membership in their support group. The Booster Club meeting at First Arena is scheduled for Monday, August 27th at 7:00 pm. The Jackals encourage all interested fans and prospective Booster Club Members to come meet new Head Coach Steve Martinson and recently signed forwards Frank Littlejohn and Bruce Watson.
