October 20, 2010 - Some thoughts as the Jackals head into the second weekend. Something has got to give! The Jackals take on the Wheeling Nailers Friday night at First Arena. The matchup between Elmira (who scored 11 goals in the first two games vs. Cincinnati) and Wheeling, who has the Goaltender of the week in Patrick Killeen who is 1-0 and has a GGA of 0.00 in two appearances so far this season. If he gets the start Friday it presents an interesting dilemma. Can the Jackals, who put up a total of 81 shots on goal against Cincinnati and average 40.5 SOGPG, get one or more past the rookie goalie Killeen? This is shaping up to be a can't miss game! It's not too late to pick up your tickets for this game. Head on down to the box office or go online at EXTREME TIX while tickets last. Saturday and Sunday the Jackals take to the road for the first time this season to take on the Reading Royals. Saturday is Reading's home opener and the Jackals should be playing before a packed house sellout crowd as the division rivals take the ice at the Sovereign Center in beautiful downtown Reading. GoJackalsGo.com will be at both of these contests to bring you game action stills so check back often this weekend. We are expecting a tremendous atmosphere in Reading as the Jackals hope to spoil the Royals home opening weekend and extend the division lead over Reading and Trenton.
